Is it morally wrong to -

Post by Sir Pun on Fri Apr 26, 2013 7:55 pm

Beat the recycling truck every trash day and collect 15-20 lbs of cans and then get paid for recycling them? Or just resourceful? I mean it is public prop once it hits the roadside, and they are still being used for their intended purpose, and i am burning gas to get them and to go to recycling plant every few weeks

Is this a city truck funded by taxpayers? Seems to me that removing trash and rubbish is a benefit to the city. Most people probably wont care who takes their trash and would probably love to donate it to you personally. Smile

(Yep, more smilies would be cool!)

No, trash put to the curb is public property. If the original consumer wanted tye money for those cans, the original consumer shoulda saved them.
