On observation by moi

So i noticed all the calorie counts afixed to everything on the mcdonalds menu board now, and while i guess more information is good, it makes me wonder if this is just another case of info overload, and will pretty much be cast in the same category as all the other stupid labels attached to products now. How many people are going to say, you know what, i better save those calories and get a small instead? And is that even the point? Or to get people to do less business there? But no most people will be like oh thats interesting. Yeah what the hell add the extra 150 calories and supersize it.

Instead, why not just put little asterisks next to everything saying:

*will make you fat
*youre going to need a triple bipass
*will make your kid fat
*if youve gotten to this asterick, either our fryers are down, or you come here way too much

I like caloric info, but then again...if I'm eating at Micky-D's...I'm not thinking about diet food. Smile

Is probably because people keep trying to sue McDonalds for damages claiming that they didn't realize that eating there 4, 5 times a week would make them fat. Having all the calorie counts on everything allows McD's to turn around and say "hey, we gave you the information, is not our fault you were too busy stuffing your fat face to read it".

The way I see it, is a darwinian process, if you're too dumb to realize that eating fast food every day will make you fat, then you probably deserve your heart attack/diabetes.

Sad thing is you dont have to eat there 4-5 times a week to get fat. You can easily get that way buying ordinary packaged food off the supermarket shelves and drinking sodas (or beer).

About the only way to stay healthy now is to eat all natural organic produce (greens and veggies) and work out like a maniac. Because sugar, high fructose corn syrup, saturated fats and gluten is in just about everything now.
