Oh it attacked NKs mlitary industry and leadership, it would prob make shock and awe look like kiddy work. And NK MAY hav 1-2 nuclear warheads tops. They wouldnt use a nuke strike unless it was possibly a last ditch effort to stave off being conquered, but by the. We wud hav alrdy bit their launchsites anyway. The thing is, even if we did go to war and wound up ousting the communist elites, then what? Then we have a country full of starving pro-commie indoctrinated zombies. Yay

The beauty of the situation is that we dont have a country full of starving pro-commie indoctrinated zombies, the South Koreans do. Unlike Iraq and Afghanistan, here rebuilding is not our problem.

Thats a good point! Its my understanding that even their soldier are hungry. And their people in many rural areas are having to resort to eating grass.

On a more serious note, even the Chinese are getting pissed of at Lil Kim now:

China sends North Korea strongest warning yet about war rhetoric

China has sent North Korea its strongest warning yet not to "misjudge" the crisis on the Korean peninsula, telling Pyongyang it "cannot shirk its responsibility" for ratcheting up tensions.

The warning from North Korea's only major ally came as speculation mounted that missile tests are imminent. US and South Korean officials are playing a waiting game, saying the launch of mobile weapons could come "at any time", according to Pentagon sources.

Last night US President Barack Obama also warned that now is the time for North Korea to end its belligerence. He said the United States will take, in his words, "all necessary steps" to protect its people.

But Mr Obama added that no one wants to see a conflict on the Korean Peninsula.

South Korean intelligence claims launch preparations are complete for a short-range Scud missile in addition to the Musudan, which has a range of up to 4,000km. A Rodong, with a range of 1,300km, is also ready to launch from a coastal area, according to the Seoul-based 'Hankyoreh' newspaper.

Yesterday, the G8 group of foreign ministers met in London, after which they issued a statement condemning Pyongyang's threats in the "strongest possible terms". British Foreign Secretary, William Hague, said: "If (North Korea) conducts another missile launch or nuclear test, we have committed ourselves to take further significant measures."

His words echoed those of the US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel, who said North Korea was "skating very close to a dangerous line".

Experts still believe war is unlikely but many fear the game of high-stakes nuclear poker could result in miscalculations by either side.

Pyongyang's warnings this week of "thermonuclear war" on the peninsula have sent South Korean, US and Japanese military into high alert.

Beijing has added to the pressure on the North's young leader Kim Jong-un (30), saying there was "no need" to engage in nuclear testing and missile launches.

A front-page editorial in the 'People's Daily' said events might "not go according" to the North's expectations – echoing UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon's warning this week that the situation on the peninsula could become "uncontrollable".

China has exhorted "all sides" to calm their belligerent rhetoric, but seems to be growing weary of the drumbeat of war next door. Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this week that Beijing "does not allow troublemaking at (its) doorsteps".

China also took aim at the US, saying "sanctions, pressure, and isolation against (North Korea) initiated by the US is one of the root causes of conflicts on the peninsula."

There is no sign Pyongyang is listening. In a speech yesterday to mark the first anniversary of Kim Jong-un's succession to first secretary of the ruling Workers' Party after his father's death, a senior party official said the time had come to punish the US with "substantial military operations".

Hinting at a missile launch, North Korea delivered a fresh round of war rhetoric yesterday with claims it has "powerful striking means" on standby. Seoul and Washington speculated that it is preparing to test-fire a missile designed to be capable of reaching the US territory of Guam in the Pacific Ocean. (© Independent News Service, London)

China criticizes US force strengthening in Asia

BEIJING (AP) — In its latest account of national defense efforts, China said Tuesday that the United States is destabilizing the Asia-Pacific region by strengthening its military alliances and sending more ships, planes, and troops to the area.

The U.S. policy known as the "pivot" to Asia runs counter to regional trends and "frequently makes the situation tenser," the Defense Ministry said in its report on the state of China's defense posture and armed forces.

"Certain efforts made to highlight the military agenda, enhance military deployment and also strengthen alliances are not in line with the calling of the times and are not conducive to the upholding of peace and stability in the region," spokesman Yang Yujun told reporters at a news conference marking the report's release.

"We hope that the relevant parties would do more to enhance the mutual trust between countries in the region and contribute to peace and stability," Yang said.

China has consistently criticized Washington's deployment of additional ships and personnel to Asia, along with increasing cooperation both with treaty partners, including Japan, South Korea and the Philippines, as well other countries such as Vietnam that aren't traditional allies.

Yeah...it's OUR fault. WE'RE the reason the region is becoming destablized. Rolling Eyes
